На крилима алегорије: хришћанска порука Бањановог „Ходочасниковог путовања“
Сажетак
Предмет овог истраживања тиче се верског или теолошког читања Ходочасниковог путовања (The Pilgrim’s Progress, 1678, 1684), најпознатијег дела једног од чувених енглеских пуританаца XVII века, Џона Бањана (John Bunyan, 1628–1688). Упркос каснијем настанку различитих читања, теолошко читање се одржало од изворног до савременог контекста чинећи примарни извор превода на 216 светских језика. С обзиром да се Бањанов избор да пише у форми алегорије одразио на рецепцију Ходочасниковог путовања, као и због улоге алегорије у хришћанској егзегези и пракси, изложен је кратак осврт на промене тумачења улоге алегорије у библијској херменеутици и релевантним књижевним периодима. У оквиру синтетичког метода истраживања коришћен је компаративни метод анализе првог и другог дела, укључујући и анализу интертекстуалних и контекстуалних елемената релевантних за тумачење како би било приказано преношење хришћанске поруке кроз форму алегорије. Оквир овог истраживања је историја западног хришћанства која се односи на реформацију у Енглеској с обзиром на Бањаново порекло и пуританско верско опредељење. Његово схватање и употреба алегорије разматрани су у контексту ставова класичних и радикалних реформатора према алегоријском тумачењу Писма у циљу разматрања узрока Бањановог инсистирања да је задатак читаоца да сâм открије оно што се налази испод површине текста и „новина“ (novelty) и указивању на резултат таквог става.
